As part of Noura’s original vision to empower women to invest in themselves, the brand launched the Mejuri Empowerment Fund to support underrepresented women and non-binary individuals with the tools to empower themselves. Mejuri continues to reach new customers through exciting community initiatives and expansion into international markets, such as the UK, Australia and Germany.

The Role:

Mejuri is looking for a Senior Front-end developer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to our Front End Technical Lead, you are responsible for building and enhancing our web applications. Working closely with our product designers and managers, you are excited about translating their requirements into functional and appealing interactive applications. You are always creating solutions to support our business plans and growth objectives. - Collaborate with back-end developers and product designers to improve usability
- Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
- Write functional requirement documents and guides
- Create quality mockups and prototypes
- Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
- Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
- An independent thinker who provides ideas for solutions to support business requirements.
- Ability to share those ideas in a clear and effective way with the team members
- Know and understand the principles of agile development
- Capable of defending development points of view while being able to negotiate and accept changes from other team members.
- Ability to code in Javascript language, to know the language deeply and have a good understanding of how to apply solutions that are going to grow time.
- Experience in design patterns and code good best practices.
- Capable of developing features using ruby language

The successful candidate will have:

- 5+ years of work experience in Frontend software development
- Fluent in english and ability to communicate effectively
- At least 1 or 2 years of work experience using React JS, Git, NPM/Yarn, SCSS, ES6, Redux
- Good Knowledge in UX/UI A solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them
- An independent thinker, inquisitive and creative in finding alternative solutions
- Great capability in iterative development
- Write quality code in Javascript or TypeScript, following best practices
- Write unit and integration tests
- Contribute to architectural and design discussions
- Work collaboratively with a distributed team
- Continuously learn and share new ideas and technical concepts
- Collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and design to align on product requirements
- Working with development leads and technology team members to create production-ready prototypes using existing services and frameworks
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
