Mejuri is the category-defining fine jewelry brand redefining luxury, your way. Feeling disconnected from an industry that typically markets to men, co-founder and CEO Noura Sakkijha leveraged her learnings as a third-generation jeweler to rethink the way women purchase jewelry—for themselves. In only seven years, and with a team of over 75% women, Mejuri has shipped over one million orders and opened retail stores across the globe, all while introducing new products weekly.
As part of Noura’s original vision to empower women to invest in themselves, the brand launched the Empowerment Fund to support underrepresented women and non-binary individuals with the tools to empower themselves. Mejuri continues to reach new customers through exciting community initiatives and expansion into international markets, such as the UK, Australia and Germany.
We are a team of retailers, creatives, technologists and strategists, and we are looking for someone special to join our team.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Fashion Director to lead the overall style direction and creative vision for Mejuri. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of fashion trends, a strong artistic background, and the ability to shape our brand's aesthetic while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the overall style direction and creative vision for the Mejuri brand by integrating culture and trends into a cohesive fashion strategy.
  • Ensure that the brand's vision and image are expressed consistently across various channels.
  • Stay ahead of fashion and style trends and the competitive landscape to ensure the brand remains a leader in the industry.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate fashion strategy with organizational goals across e-commerce and retail.
  • Contextualize historical fashion trends through a modern lens to inform design decisions.
  • Act as the outward-facing representative of the brand at industry events, fashion shows, and other public engagements.
  • Travel to major cities in the UK, US, and internationally to stay connected with global fashion movements.

Day-to-Day

  • Oversee model and photographer casting for shoots.
  • Direct styling for our product portfolio and manage styling briefs.
  • Work closely with editors, stylists, and influencers.
  • Build a community of creative partners and implement a cohesive brand styling language.
  • Create and execute styling guidelines for retail and seasonal campaigns.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Strong background in art direction or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the fashion industry and current trends.
  • Proven experience in driving creative and strategic initiatives within a fashion brand.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the brand externally.
  • A robust portfolio demonstrating past work and industry impact.
  • Flexibility and experience across various product categories.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • An understanding of historical fashion trends and the ability to contextualize them in contemporary designs.

Salary:

Looking for the perfect next opportunity is a big decision. Mejuri recognizes the importance of pay transparency when it comes to salary ranges as it empowers individuals through the hiring process and supports them in making an informed decision. This role currently has a base pay range of $190-225 per year based on a candidate’s experience and qualifications.
