Job Description

As a Senior Software Developer in the Digital Workflow Team at Vention…

You’ll join one of our most dynamic and exciting software teams, guiding technology choices and architecture design as our department scales. In the Digital Workflow team, you’ll design and implement web-based applications that automate industrial machines — from cloud simulation all the way to shop-floor operation. You’ll collaborate with product managers, QA developers, leaders, and junior team members to deliver high-impact solutions and help shape our technical roadmap.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in all aspects of the software lifecycle: requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Build full-stack web applications (TypeScript, backend and frontend) to integrate with Vention’s automation technology and enable customer interaction with industrial machines.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation for all code-base modules, models, and workflows.
  • Lead technical initiatives and projects that cross teams and departments, driving architectural decisions and execution.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering growth and excellence within the team.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for skills, intellect, and experiences that will help you succeed in this role but we also know that various profiles (not only the one described below) could be successful. If you’re excited about what you read and think you’d be a great fit, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet every single qualification.

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g. software, engineering, math)
  • Experience in a modern frontend framework: React, Angular, Vue. With a preference for React
  • Proficiency in Typescript, with a preference with enterprise experience
  • Knowledge of good engineering practices (Design patterns)
  • Knowledge of performance practices and impacts (Algorithm complexity, Big O notation)
  • Experience in modernizing legacy codebases while maintaining system integrity
  • Great written and verbal communication to share updates, blockers and write great technical documentation sharing your vision

Nice to Have:

  • Linear Algebra knowledge
  • 3D technologies (ThreeJS, WebGL)
  • GraphQL experience
  • General knowledge about CAD
  • User facing products experience
