Platform Operations & Delivery Lead
Axya
About Axya
Axya is building AI-powered technology to transform how manufacturers source and procure parts. Our platform connects manufacturers with suppliers and automates sourcing, quoting, and procurement workflows.
Role Overview
We’re building a platform to map and activate Québec’s aerospace and defence ecosystem. With Phase 1 complete and Phase 2 underway, we’re looking for someone to take full ownership of delivery and day-to-day operations. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of project execution, client operations, quality assurance, and member success—ensuring that everything runs smoothly, from development sprints to client onboarding and ongoing support.
You’ll be the operational backbone of Phase 2, the main point of contact for members and partners, and the face of the product in demos and webinars. Working closely with the product lead, you’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy at a critical stage, helping shape how the platform is delivered, experienced, and scaled.
What You Will Own
Project Delivery
- Build, maintain, and drive the Phase 2 delivery schedule from kickoff to milestone sign-off
- Manage the development team day to day — remove blockers, maintain velocity, and keep execution on track
- Track risks, dependencies, and issues; own their resolution or escalation to the product lead
- Run standups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder check-ins; keep meetings focused and decisions documented
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Aéro Montréal and Propulsion Québec throughout Phase 2 execution
- Run regular working sessions with institutional partners; keep them informed, aligned, and confident in delivery progress
- Maintain clear, accessible project status reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Member Support & Client Operations
- Respond to member and client support tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Onboard new members onto the platform, guiding them through setup and profile completion
- Manage platform admin settings and configurations on behalf of institutional clients
- Escalate bugs and issues to the development team with clear reproduction steps and context
Quality Assurance
- Support feature testing alongside the development team ahead of releases
- Validate that delivered features meet the agreed outcomes and specs before sign-off
- Document and track bugs or gaps identified during testing cycles
Product Demos & Webinars
- Present and demo the platform in webinars organized for Aéro Montréal and Propulsion Québec members
- Translate platform capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical institutional audiences
- Field questions from members and partners during live sessions
What You Will Collaborate On
- Ongoing discovery — as new needs emerge, you will contribute to shaping solutions alongside the product lead, bringing operational and client insights into product thinking
- Feature scoping — your proximity to members, stakeholders, and the dev team makes your input valuable when refining how outcomes get implemented
What You Will NOT Be Expected To Own
- Product strategy or outcome definition — set by the product lead
- Dev-ready specs and technical requirements — provided by the product lead
- Full QA ownership — you support and validate alongside the dev team
- Strategic and contractual decisions with Aéro Montréal and Propulsion Québec — these are escalated to the product lead; this role owns the operational relationship during execution
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience spanning project management, client success, or platform operations — ideally in a software or SaaS environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping the ball
- Strong communicator — equally comfortable running a dev standup, onboarding a member, and presenting a live product demo to institutional stakeholders
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment
- Comfortable working directly with clients and end users — empathetic, responsive, and solutions-oriented
- Bilingual in French and English — written and spoken — required given the institutional and member context
Nice to Have
- Experience in a B2B SaaS, marketplace, or platform environment
- Exposure to government, para-public, or industry cluster organizations
- Familiarity with QA processes and bug tracking in an agile development context
- Experience presenting or demoing software products to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with the Québec aerospace or defence ecosystem
Tools You Will Likely Work With
- Asana — primary project tracking and collaboration tool with external stakeholders (Aéro Montréal, Propulsion Québec)
- Jira — internal project and sprint tracking with the development team
- Discord — internal team communication
- Django Admin — platform configuration and admin management on behalf of clients
- Stakeholder reporting: Google Slides or equivalent
