We work primarily with manufacturing, food & beverage, energy and innovation-driven companies generating $10M to $50M+ in annual revenue across Canada.
The Role
We're looking for a Sales Development Representative based in Ontario to support our growth in the province. This is a high-activity, outbound-focused role. The main job is to reach out to companies that match our client profile, run discovery calls and book qualified meetings for the Account Executive team.
A large part of the week is spent on the phone/video conference. The role also includes handling inbound leads generated by our marketing team and website, but the core of the work is proactive prospecting into the Ontario market.
Responsibilities
- Make a high volume of outbound prospecting calls and outreachs to targeted companies.
- Run initial discovery calls to understand businesses' projects and needs.
- Book qualified meetings for the sales team.
- Handle inbound leads and qualify opportunities quickly.
- Log all activity and information in HubSpot.
- Work with the marketing team to sharpen targeting and outreach messaging.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in sales or business development.
- Strong phone presence and comfortable making a high volume of calls and conversations with business owners.
- Resilient and steady through outbound work, including handling rejection.
- Able to quickly understand varied business contexts (manufacturing, food & beverage, energy, innovation).
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage sustained activity volume.
- Familiar with CRM tools (HubSpot or equivalent) and Google Workspace.
- Fluent English required. French is an asset but not required for this role.
- Bonus: knowledge or interest in grants and public funding programs.
