About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help drive the next stage of growth at Botpress, the leading platform for building and scaling AI chatbots.
You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers — identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads who are exploring how to bring conversational AI into their products or workflows.
This role reports to the Head of Growth (or Sales Manager) and works closely with our Marketing and Product teams to convert inbound interest into meaningful sales opportunities.
We’re hiring for this role to expand our reach among developers and companies adopting large language model (LLM) technologies at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with inbound leads from multiple channels (website, events, social, community) to qualify potential customers.
  • Research, identify, and target outbound prospects in key verticals such as SaaS, fintech, and customer support automation.
  • Build relationships with developers, technical founders, and decision-makers to understand their use cases and challenges.
  • Conduct high-quality discovery calls to assess technical fit and buying intent.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and lead-generation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate data in our CRM and ensure smooth handoff to Account Executives.
  • Track and report on outreach performance, lead quality, and conversion rates.
  • Represent Botpress in the AI and developer community — webinars, events, or forums — as a trusted first point of contact.
  • Familiarity with AI, APIs, or platform-as-a-service (PaaS) products is a strong plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain complex technology simply.
  • Curious and technically minded — you enjoy learning how products work under the hood.
  • Driven, organized, and comfortable managing multiple leads at once.
  • Confident in using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce.
  • Excited about AI and helping teams adopt conversational technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
