The role

As the Group Reporting Manager, you will be a key member of our finance team, directly supporting the Controller in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across the group. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with ASPE, managing financial data, and overseeing the integration of newly acquired subsidiaries. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial processes.

What you can expect from the opportunity:

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with ASPE and local GAAP across all group entities.
    • Review monthly financial results, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
    • Analyze trends and movements in the accounts, providing insights to management.
  • Financial Data Management:
    • Own and manage the Group’s Chart of Accounts across all accounting and forecasting systems.
    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, facilitating seamless reporting and forecasting.
    • Lead initiatives to improve data management processes and enhance system integration.
  • Balance Sheet Management:
    • Take ownership of key balance sheet accounts, ensuring they are accurately maintained and reconciled.
    • Prepare and review supporting workpapers, ensuring all reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Acquisition Accounting and Integration:
    • Lead accounting and finance integration activities for new acquisitions, ensuring seamless transition onto the Group’s systems and processes.
    • Act as interim finance manager for acquired subsidiaries, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance during the transition period.
    • Collaborate with the M&A team to ensure smooth financial integration and alignment with group accounting policies.
  • Process Improvement and Support:
    • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Provide support and guidance to subsidiary finance teams, ensuring adherence to group policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various finance initiatives and projects.

Critical role skills and competencies:

  • At ease managing the processing and reporting of high volumes of data, ability to identify weaknesses in processes and drive change, very good understanding of multi-currency operations and the FX impact, comfortable with managing, coaching and motivating a team;
  • Experience as an Accounting Manager ideally within an international multi-company and multi-currency organization
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA is a must
  • 7-10 + years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including managing a financial function in a technology company
  • Strong knowledge of Netsuite ERP software an asset
  • Proven experience in working in an international, complex and fast moving environment
  • Competent with automated financial data
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • English – very good level (Spanish and French considered an asset)
