The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Engineer, We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work with contract manufacturers to develop, implement and continually improve an exhaustive manufacturing strategy including assembly and testing for our product line
The successful candidate will interface with hardware, software, and firmware engineering teams to solve problems, improve designs, and ensure that production meets stringent time and quality demands.

Main responsibilities
- Setup contract manufacturers for production of dcbel’s electro-mechanical product line. Provide documentation and training as needed.
- Work with contract manufacturers to implement assembly methods to reduce assembly time and manufacturing defects. Provide feedback to product development team to improve these.
- Ensure quality assurance plan is followed.
- Work with partners to oversee the design, validation, implementation & automation of high quality testing solutions for home stations, involving electronics, power, and electrical safety.
- Establish production testing specifications for feasibility and scalability; hold periodic test review meetings with project teams and create required documents and test reports.
- Provide high-reactivity support to production to resolve test equipment/script failures; collaborate with manufacturing/quality engineers on resolving complex production issues.
- Integrate data acquisition/dashboarding/test commands and feedback through dcbel MES database.
- Ensure test data is collected and maintained systematically for further analysis in a well-defined database platform.
- Specify testing equipment and define regular maintenance/calibration schedule in collaboration with manufacturing engineering and automation.
- Hands-on skills to design, build, and bring up test benches is an asset.
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role involving electro-mechanical products.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, software, mechanical, industrial engineering or relevant field.
- Experience implementing automated tests.
- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
- Must be able to regularly travel to contract manufacturer factory
Bonus skills
- Experience in power electronics.
- Knowledge of electrical safety.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps and confluence.
