Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Product Development Project Manager to work with the entire engineering department to manage the various product development projects of our products.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage the development of new products and improvement of existing products by ensuring that the product development process is followed. Resolve daily issues by leveraging the project team or escalating if necessary.
  • Act as the right hand of the Head of the Engineering department. Assist in managing resources, budget, inter-department coordination, planning and all other activities needed in managing an engineering department.
  • Coordinate and track activities to remove roadblocks to ensure that projects are delivered according to the scope, timeline and budget.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor degree in engineering.Minimum 7 years work experience and 3 in a similar role.Experience implementing or following a project management process.Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall concepts.
  • Must be extremely organized to be able to manage multiples projects simultaneously and clearly explain progress and blocking issues.
  • Experience in development of consumer products.
  • Experience using Jira as a project management and product development tool.
  • Must be able to understand electrical, mechanical, firmware and software designs.

Bonus skills

  • Bilingual English and French written and spoken.
