Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid.

The opportunity

dcbel is seeking a functional Solutions Architect, focusing on business applications. In the role, you will lead the design of our application process with the Business Process Office (BPO), to ensure alignment of business process and application functions. The role involves owning the technical aspect of processes within subject-focus squads to deploy new parts of the Order-to-Cash process, and MES related processes. The Architect acts as SME on the pool of applications we have within those squads.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SME and department head to define the target architecture spanning ERP, CRM, MES, PLM, QMS and analytics.
  • Create functionality‑based roadmaps that avoids technical debt and enable organization scale‑up.
  • Collaborate with BPO to align business process with existing applications capacities to minimize need for new applications, and structure new applications requirement if need be.
  • Establish reference architectures and patterns for integrations (Dataverse, Azure Integration Services, eventing, APIs), data domains, and master/metadata management.
  • Lead architecture governance (design reviews, non‑functional requirements, security & compliance, cost management) and align with enterprise EA guidelines.
  • Model end‑to‑end flows from PLM/BOM through production orders and shop‑floor execution to shipment/invoicing; ensure BC remains the source of truth for product master where applicable.
  • Drive fit‑to‑standard configurations first; define extensions only where value is clear and supportable.
  • Partner with data/BI teams to enable operational and executive reporting (Power BI) and ensure data quality SLAs.
  • Architect solutions for discrete manufacturing: demand planning/MRP, production scheduling, routings, work centers, time & labor capture, traceability, rework flows, and device/IoT data capture into MES.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 10+ years in ERP, CRM and business application implementation or consulting, including 3-5 years as solution architecture or senior consulting,
  • Proven MES implementation/integration experience.
  • Proven Order-to-Cash implementation experience.
  • Integration architecture on Azure


Bonus skills

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM (Sales/CE) in manufacturing contexts is an asset.
  • Experience connecting PLM with BC/MES for controlled release and BOM synchronization.
  • Experience with prototyping cycle and new product commercialisation process.
  • Power Platform (Power Apps/Automate), ALM Accelerator/DevOps for Dynamics, solution layer strategies in CRM, and extension best practices in BC.
  • Bilingual English and French written and spoken.
