F5 is seeking a highly experienced and functionally-focused Sr. ServiceNow Engineer to join our Employee Experience (EX) team, specifically supporting our Platform Services' Functional POD (e.g., HR, Finance, G&A Service Delivery). In this pivotal role, you will be the lead developer responsible for translating complex business requirements from departments like People Technology and Finance into scalable, robust, and user-friendly solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will focus heavily on configuration, development, and advanced functionality within modules like HR Service Delivery (HRSD) and Custom Applications built for business functions.
Responsibilities
Functional Solution Design & Development: Translate complex business requirements from functional stakeholders (e.g., HR, Legal, Finance) into practical, scalable, and compliant technical solutions within ServiceNow, primarily focusing on HR Service Delivery (HRSD) and Custom Applications/App Engine.
HRSD and Functional Expertise: Lead the development, configuration, and maintenance of HR Service Delivery components, including HR Cases and Tasks, Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center portals, Lifecycle Events, and Virtual Agent.
Custom Application Development: Utilize the App Engine/Platform capabilities to build custom applications that automate and streamline non-IT enterprise workflows for specific business units, adhering to established development standards.
Configuration and Enhancement: Implement configuration changes across various ServiceNow modules (e.g., Security, ACLs, Catalog Items, Record Producers, Flow Designer) to meet evolving business needs while ensuring system stability and performance.
Integration Support: Collaborate with the Integration Engineering team to ensure seamless data flow and process automation between ServiceNow and core enterprise systems like Workday and Oracle.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Lead system testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered functionality accurately reflects business requirements and operates without errors.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, testing scripts, and knowledge articles for both technical teams and functional administrators.
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on development, configuration, and administrative experience on the ServiceNow platform in a large enterprise environment.
3+ years of focused experience developing and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) module is highly preferred.
Proven ability to configure and build solutions using advanced ServiceNow features: Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, Portal Development (Service Portal/Employee Center), and Custom Applications (App Engine).
Strong proficiency in scripting within ServiceNow (JavaScript, Glide Scripting, UI Policies, Business Rules, etc.) to support complex functional requirements.
Deep understanding of HR business processes, case management, and service delivery best practices. Familiarity with Finance/G&A processes is a plus.
Current Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) certification is required; HR Service Delivery Implementation Specialist certification is highly desirable.
Experience with platform upgrades, system cloning, and adhering to strict governance and security standards.
Excellent ability to communicate complex technical details and functional solutions clearly to both technical peers and non-technical business stakeholders.
Proven track record of working effectively in an Agile development environment.
