Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer (Sr. SDE) to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of modern digital experiences for a global audience. This role combines deep full stack engineering expertise with AI-driven software development practices, enabling teams to accelerate innovation through intelligent automation and generative AI solutions.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader with a proven track record of driving architecture decisions, leading complex engineering initiatives, and mentoring engineers. They will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Data, Platform, and Security teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing customer-facing applications while helping shape the organization's technical strategy and AI adoption roadmap. They will also integrate enterprise SaaS platforms and third-party services to deliver connected customer experiences and business workflows.
The successful candidate brings strong ownership, technical excellence, and the ability to influence engineering decisions across teams and business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Engineering & Architecture:
Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of highly scalable customer-facing web applications and digital platforms.
Own end-to-end technical solutions for complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple systems, teams, and business domains.
Define and drive architectural standards, technology strategies, and platform modernization efforts focused on scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
Make critical architecture and design decisions that influence long-term engineering direction and organizational technical strategy.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of modern engineering frameworks, tools, and cloud-native technologies.
Design and implement integrations with enterprise SaaS platforms and external APIs.
Establish and champion engineering best practices for software architecture, code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
Drive system resiliency, performance optimization, and incident response strategies across distributed systems and services.
Partner with engineering leaders to identify technical debt, prioritize modernization initiatives, and improve platform health.
Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, governance, and operational readiness.
AI-Augmented Software Development:
Lead adoption of AI-assisted software development practices that improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery velocity.
Drive enterprise-wide best practices for leveraging Generative AI coding assistants and AI-enabled developer workflows.
Incorporate AI-driven capabilities into software design, development, testing, documentation, code reviews, knowledge management, and operational processes.
Evaluate and recommend emerging AI technologies, platforms, and frameworks that create measurable business impact.
Define standards and governance models for responsible AI development, data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with engineering leadership to establish AI engineering strategies and enable broader organizational adoption.
Generative AI Solutions & Agent Development:
Architect, design, and deliver AI-powered applications, copilots, intelligent assistants, and autonomous agents that improve customer and business outcomes.
Lead integrations with enterprise AI platforms, foundation models, and large language model ecosystems.
Design advanced AI workflows utilizing prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), orchestration frameworks, tool usage, memory management, and agent-based architectures.
Establish evaluation frameworks for AI quality, observability, reliability, governance, and performance measurement.
Drive AI application scalability, cost optimization, and operational excellence in production environments.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for AI-driven transformation and automation.
Technical Leadership:
Serve as a senior technical leader across multiple engineering initiatives and product areas.
Influence engineering strategy, platform architecture, technical roadmaps, and organizational technology decisions.
Lead design reviews, architecture reviews, and technical discussions involving complex, cross-functional solutions.
Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, Marketing teams, Data organizations, Security teams, and Engineering leaders to deliver high-impact business outcomes.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to leadership, helping align engineering investments with business objectives.
Lead incident reviews, root cause analyses, and operational improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production software solutions.
Demonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams and business stakeholders.
Experience integrating SaaS platforms, APIs, and third-party services into web applications.
Experience driving software architecture, system design, and platform modernization efforts in enterprise environments.
Experience with AI-Augmented Software Development practices, tools, and workflows.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying Generative AI applications, copilots, assistants, or intelligent agents in production environments.
Advanced expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript development.
Deep experience building modern applications using Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and HTML/CSS.
Experience with GitLab-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures.
Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and large-scale system design.
Experience implementing observability, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence practices.
Experience working within Agile software development methodologies.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts, architecture decisions, and project status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across teams.
