The Role

As AVP Engineering, you lead engineering teams, and are expected to take on complete ownership over their team’s performance and contribution to company-wide goals.

What you will do:

  • Owning and being accountable for all engineering aspects of the teams
    product delivery
  • Developing and leading the recruitment processes which is inclusive and
    welcoming to a diverse pool of candidates
  • Having a strong understanding of the business, company goals, priorities, and
    strategy
  • Setting relevant, aligned to the company strategies, measurable quarterly
    OKRs for the teams and leading them to completion
  • Maintaining relationships with executive staff and colleagues throughout the
    company
  • Building a high performing team and allocating human resources, through the
    ongoing development of current team members and recruitment of top tier
    talent
  • Proactively identifying areas of improvement throughout the company where
    engineering teams can make a difference and work with other teams to make
    those improvements happen
  • Adhering to all system operation policies including but not limited to Access
    Control, Encryption Control, Logging, Change Management, Platform Security,
    System Configuration, Physical and Incident Management policies
  • Building and maintaining high performance engineering teams and selecting
    middle managers
  • Ensuring teams deliver high quality software to meet organization objectives
  • Ensuring access management is performed in compliance with the
    employee's role and responsibilities
  • Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and
    procedures within the department/ team
  • Notifying HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or
    policy violations
  • Complying with Information Security Policies
  • Reviewing and approving code changes as documented within change
    management policy
  • Reviewing changes to team composition and compensation
  • Reviewing agreements with software development vendors
  • Approving changes to tool & data access for employees

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience building software applications
  • 2+ years working in health technology
  • 7+ Experience managing development teams
  • A passion for nurturing the careers of the people on your team and developing the next generation of leaders
