Our current needs

We are scaling our activities alongside our quantum processors. In this effort we are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong track record of experimental work in the field of quantum computing with superconducting circuits. This person will assist our team in the development and scaling up of our technology.

More specifically, this individual will lead experimental campaigns to push our hardware capabilities and continuously deepen our understanding of the science behind it. The person will develop new methods and hardware through a strong interaction with our theory and experimental teams.

Our current needs

We are scaling our activities alongside our quantum processors. In this effort, we are looking for a theoretical physicist to assist our theory team in developing our bosonic code technology. The work will be performed in very close collaboration with the experimental efforts and will include developing new quantum control protocols, understanding and describing experimental data, assisting the design of future devices, and developing the simulation platforms. The key theoretical concepts involved go from the field of circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) to quantum optics in superconducting microwave devices while integrating quantum simulation techniques. The person will be evolving in a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment and will receive support from the experimental and design teams to drive the technology forward.

Sought expertise

• MSc and 3 years of experience, or PhD experience in working in theoretical physics in the fields of quantum optics or circuit quantum electrodynamics.

• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyze problems and develop mathematical and numerical models based on experimental data

• Ability to program in Python

Preferred experience

• Knowledge of standard theoretical methods and concepts used in studies of superconducting circuits

• Knowledge of standard quantum optics concepts applied in the microwave regime

• Knowledge of the basic concepts and challenges behind error-corrected quantum computing is an asset

• Experience with bosonic codes is an asset

• Proficiency with simulation environment for quantum systems (eg. QuTip)
