Located at the heart of the beautiful Eastern Townships region in the province of Quebec, Canada, we develop our technology in the vibrant quantum ecosystem of Sherbrooke, . Leaning on more than a decade of vertical integration of quantum hardware, we are leveraging a comprehensive pool of quantum technology and micro-electronic infrastructure to deploy our quantum computing technology.

Our current needs

We are scaling our activities alongside our quantum processors. In this effort, we are looking for an experimental physicist to assist our quantum hardware team in developing our bosonic code technology. As part of the hardware group, this person will carry out experiments in cryogenic environments to characterize our quantum processors, as well as to improve and develop control protocols. The person will be evolving in a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment and will receive support from the theory team to drive the technology forward.

Sought expertise

  • MSc and 3 years of experience, or Ph.D. experience in working in experimental physics in the fields of quantum optics or quantum computing

  • Proven ability to realize experiments and deliver results

  • Knowledge of the basic concepts and challenges behind quantum computing

  • Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to analyze experimental data and propose paths forward for improvements

  • Ability to program experiments in python-based environments

Preferred experience

  • Knowledge of experimental methods and concepts behind superconducting circuits

  • Experience with cryogenic environments and microwave characterization of quantum devices

  • Experience with quantum computing experiments with superconducting circuits is an asset

  • Experience with bosonic codes is an asset
