Collaboration: Design team members, Nanofabrication team, hardware team.Our current needs: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electromagnetic Designer to join our Design team and contribute to the development of the next generation of high-performance quantum processors.Responsibilities: Perform electromagnetic simulations to test and optimize quantum processor designs. Develop and refine EM structures to enhance coherence properties and coupling rates. Collaborate on the development of computational tools for design automation. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate optimized electromagnetic components. Conduct design validation and performance analysis to improve hardware efficiency.Education and experience: PhD or equivalent industry experience in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in electromagnetic design and finite-element simulations (asset). Experience in quantum hardware design and superconducting microwave circuits. Industry experience with a proven track record in interdisciplinary R&D teams.Sought expertise: Deep understanding of electromagnetic theory and microwave engineering principles. Proficiency in software such as Ansys HFSS, PALACE, or similar. Experience in computational modeling and Python programming. Understanding of loss mechanisms and material properties in superconducting devices. Familiarity with automation and HPC techniques. Advanced English; intermediate French an asset.Sought profile: Excellent analytical/problem-solving, strong communication and collaboration, ability to manage multiple projects, adaptability, and passion for advancing quantum computing.Salary: $153 208 – $175 000.
