Subordinate: None.Our current needs: Seeking a skilled and self-driven Mechanical Designer to join the Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Team. Focus on CAD of cryogenic dilution refrigerator setups, 3D resonator cavities, and assemblies to improve modularity and scalability.Key Responsibilities: Develop CAD designs of 3D cavities with precision, thermal performance, and cryogenic compatibility; create fabrication drawings. Explore designs/manufacturing techniques to improve scalability. Design/document cryogenic mechanical setups for dilution refrigerators. Maintain CAD libraries, revision control, and documentation. Collaborate with Design, Quantum Hardware, and Nanofabrication. Coordinate with vendors and partners for machining, sourcing, and integration.Education/experience: Diploma + 4 yrs CAD or BSc + 2 yrs CAD; industry experience in interdisciplinary R&D teams.Sought expertise: CAD modeling and assembly design (Solidworks/Onshape/others); design optimization for scalability/repeatability; DFM/DFA familiarity; ability to deliver under tight deadlines; FEA is an asset; advanced English, intermediate French an asset.Sought profile: Autonomy, clear technical reporting, strong communication/collaboration with teams and vendors, organizational/prioritization skills, willingness to learn, team-oriented.Working at and Moving to Nord Quantique apply.
