This person will assist our team in developing and scaling up our technology. Working in close collaboration with Quantum Theory, EM Design and Software teams, the candidate will:- Lead and execute experimental projects to push hardware capabilities- Perform measurements to benchmark quantum error correction and gate performance- Implement novel quantum error correction codes and gate schemes with Quantum Theory team- Generate and validate calibration routines to improve performance- Digest scientific data and feedback to the EM Design and Quantum Theory teams Education and experience requirements :- PhD or MS + 2 years experience in experimental physics Sought expertise and knowledge:- Experimental quantum computing in any hardware platform- RF and pulsed measurement of qubits- Analysis of experimental data- Advanced level in English, to communicate with international team members- Circuit QED, an asset- Python know-how and git best practices, an asset- Intermediate knowledge of French, an asset Salary: $105 000 – $122 000Vacation: 5 weeks per yearBenefits: Group insurance (including dental care), virtual care, lifestyle spending account (all available after 3 months of service)Working language: English and/or FrenchWorkplace: Espace Quantique 1, 1950 rue Roy, Sherbrooke, QC, J1K 1B7
