Talent Acquisition Lead (permanent position, 40 hour per week) Contact: (819) 975-4654, career@nordquantique.ca Supervisor: Director of HRSubordinate: Recruiter(s) Our current needs As Nord Quantique grows, the company is strengthening its ability to attract and hire highly specialized talent across research and development, engineering, operational and support functions to build a massively scalable quantum computing business. Recruiting in deep-tech environments requires structured processes, strong collaboration with technical leadership, and the ability to build sustainable talent pipelines in a competitive global market. The role:The Head of Talent Acquisition will lead the development and execution of Nord Quantique’s recruiting strategy. Working in close collaboration with leadership and hiring managers across the company, the candidate will:- Build and lead Nord Quantique’s Talent Acquisition team, including the recruitment and development of recruiters as the team grows.- Design and operate a structured recruiting engine capable of supporting the company’s high hiring volume while maintaining strong candidate experience and hiring standards.- Manage the recruitment processes and streams, using modern talent acquisition systems and tools.- Partner with technical leaders to anticipate hiring needs and translate workforce planning into effective recruitment strategies.- Define and continuously improve recruitment processes, including sourcing strategies, interview practices, and hiring decision frameworks.- Develop and manage talent sourcing pipelines for specialized technical roles.- Coordinate with Marketing and leadership to support recruiting missions, employer branding initiatives, with possible participation in recruitment events.- Monitor recruiting performance and introduce data-driven improvements to hiring processes and tools.- Ensure strong collaboration between Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and HR Operations to support efficient onboarding and workforce integration. Education and experience requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum of 8 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in technology-driven or R&D environments.- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading or mentoring recruiting teams.- Demonstrated experience recruiting technical talent, such as engineers, researchers, or specialized technical professionals.- Experience building or scaling recruiting processes in high-growth organizations.- Experience collaborating closely with technical leadership teams. Sought expertise and knowledge: - Strong understanding of modern talent acquisition strategies and recruiting methodologies.- Experience designing and improving structured hiring processes and interview frameworks.- Knowledge of sourcing strategies and talent pipeline development for specialized technical roles.- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting analytics tools.- Understanding of the dynamics of recruiting in deep-tech or highly specialized technical environments.- Ability to translate organizational hiring needs into clear recruitment strategies and execution plans.- Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
