Computational Quantum Physicist – Mid-Level (permanent position, 40 hour per week). Joins Theory & Simulations to develop next-generation simulation methods for bosonic quantum error correction, including tensor networks, logical/effective models, rare-event Monte Carlo, and high-performance scientific software. Responsibilities include developing scalable algorithms, extending simulations to larger modes/energies, validation/benchmarks, integrating with compiler interfaces, and contributing to codebase architecture. Education: PhD in physics/applied math/CS or equivalent research; experience in at least one specialization; strong Python and HPC frameworks (e.g., JAX, NumPy/SciPy). Salary: $115000 – $135000.
