We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Lighting Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will take on a broad role, covering technical support from Level 1 to Level 3. You will be responsible for on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support for our advanced lighting solutions. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, this role requires functional technical knowledge (IT, electrical), exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on approach to ensure our products operate efficiently and safely. This key position involves regular travel within the designated region, particularly in the Leamington area, to service various client sites. You will also be actively involved in new customer installations and system activations, providing essential support to our Project Managers.
Your main responsibilities will include :
- Manage customer tickets for all Support (Levels 1 to 3)
- Troubleshoot and Diagnose complex on-site technical issues, including power issues, wiring faults, and performance discrepancies. Conduct in-depth diagnostics and take necessary measures for resolution
- Provide support to Project Managers during the installation and activation phases. Support the project team and ensure follow-up on installations and commissioning
- Perform planned preventive maintenance, regular inspections, and client visits (1 time/week) to maintain optimal system performance
- Clients visit 1/week as part of the flexible work mode, and expect approximately 2 to 3 times per week or more at the client site during key seasons.
What you need to join our team:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical work or a related field is a plus.
- Autonomous and result-driven (autonomous, curious, rigorous), you possess strong problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and passport are mandatory for travel. Flexibility to travel occasionally to Ontario (Leamington) and the United States. Expect occasional travel to Quebec for team meetings.
- English is mandatory (fluency is required) and you must have fluid communication, strong oral, and interpersonal skills (Customer-Oriented). French is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of IT and networking (Network IT). Functional Electrical Knowledge of electrical circuits.
- Must not be afraid of heights, as occasional work
- Previous experience in lighting or electrical troubleshooting or electrical work
- Basic knowledge of lighting control systems
- You are rigorous, insightful and demonstrate an excellent sense of organization
