We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Specialist reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain and Sales Operations. In this role, you will serve as the operational pivot between suppliers, logistics partners, and internal sales teams. This role combines rigorous transactional management within the ERP system, daily tactical negotiation, and the coordination of domestic and international freight flows to support the growth of Sollum Technologies.
Your main responsibilities will include :
1. Purchasing and Tactical Procurement
Issue and rigorously track purchase orders (POs) with suppliers.
Coordinate production schedules with contract manufacturers, ensure proactive order tracking, and implement contingency plans to guarantee on-time delivery.
Execute inventory transactions and ensure data integrity within the financial system (SAP Business ByDesign).
Negotiate part prices and freight charges to optimize total product cost.
Maintain and update Item Master data (pricing, lead times, MOQs, weights/dimensions, alternative parts).
Support the Engineering team with prototype purchasing and the onboarding of new suppliers in the system.
2. Logistics and Freight Management
Coordinate inbound (raw materials) and outbound (finished goods) logistics for domestic and international movements.
Manage customs documentation and ensure compliance for transfers between Sollum sites, contract manufacturers, and third-party warehousing partners.
Identify potential delays affecting the production schedule and collaborate on the development of corrective action plans.
Oversee the logistics for returns (RMA) and equipment replacements in collaboration with the technical support team.
3. Interdepartmental Collaboration and Performance
Work closely with Project Management, Finance, and Sales Operations teams to communicate delivery timelines.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements (lead time, quality, and cost).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes and workflows.
What you need to join our team:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or a Technical Diploma (DEC) in a related discipline with relevant experience in procurement and logistics.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing and logistics (experience in the electronics industry is a major asset).
Technical Expertise: Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP Business ByDesign is a significant asset) and MS Office (Advanced Excel).
Logistics Knowledge: Strong understanding of Incoterms and international customs clearance processes.
Languages: Full professional fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).
