We are currently seeking someone to fill the position of Electronics Technician who will report to the Director of Engineering. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering all hardware products from design to production to customer support. Your mission, if you accept it, lead the greenhouses technology revolution !

Your day-to-day at Sollum:

  • Collaborate with mechanical and electronic designers in the development of new products, from the initial concept to production.
  • Support and motivate the team of electronics technicians, encouraging goal achievement and fostering innovation in practices.
  • Conduct technological watch on best practices and innovations in electronics to continuously improve our processes and products.
  • Design schematics and electronic boards, prepare and test prototypes in the laboratory.
  • Write test plans, perform laboratory measurements, and diagnose defective product returns.
  • Collaborate with software, production, sales, and operations teams to ensure product and process optimization.
  • Contribute to the improvement and organization of the laboratory, as well as the optimization of existing product production.

What you need to join our team:

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience as an Electronic Technician or equivalent.
  • Electrical engineering techniques or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and English.
  • Team management skills are an essential asset

Experience with:

  • Using laboratory equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Soldering electronic components (mainly SMT).
  • Debugging and analyzing electronic boards.
  • Circuit design with Altium Designer (an asset).
  • Temperature measurement (an asset).
  • Programming languages such as Python (an asset).
  • Lighting product design (an asset).
