Your day-to-day at Sollum:
- Collaborate with mechanical and electronic designers in the development of new products, from the initial concept to production.
- Support and motivate the team of electronics technicians, encouraging goal achievement and fostering innovation in practices.
- Conduct technological watch on best practices and innovations in electronics to continuously improve our processes and products.
- Design schematics and electronic boards, prepare and test prototypes in the laboratory.
- Write test plans, perform laboratory measurements, and diagnose defective product returns.
- Collaborate with software, production, sales, and operations teams to ensure product and process optimization.
- Contribute to the improvement and organization of the laboratory, as well as the optimization of existing product production.
What you need to join our team:
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience as an Electronic Technician or equivalent.
- Electrical engineering techniques or equivalent.
- Proficiency in spoken and written French and English.
- Team management skills are an essential asset
Experience with:
- Using laboratory equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Soldering electronic components (mainly SMT).
- Debugging and analyzing electronic boards.
- Circuit design with Altium Designer (an asset).
- Temperature measurement (an asset).
- Programming languages such as Python (an asset).
- Lighting product design (an asset).
