SPARK is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Production Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining our production testing processes. This position reports to the Director of Operations & Quality.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and procedures focused on yield improvement and test time reduction for SPARK Microsystems’ wireless devices using the Advantest V93K ATE.
  • Design and develop test programs for new products, including device characterization, validation, and production testing.
  • Collaborate closely with the ASIC design team to ensure efficient test coverage and reliable test results for new products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test equipment and test program issues to maintain optimal test system performance.
  • Perform hands-on testing, debug, and characterization of devices to identify and resolve issues during the test program development phase.
  • Generate test reports, analyze data, and provide feedback to the design and development teams for continuous improvement of test programs.
  • Implement and oversee sampling strategies for more complex tests to ensure optimal test coverage while maintaining efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, test methodologies, and ATE advancements to drive innovation and improve test processes.
  • Train and provide guidance to other team members on test program development best practices.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience with production ATE testing is desired.
  • Solid experience in semiconductor ATE testing, preferably with Advantest V93K ATE.
  • Analog mixed signal/ RF knowledge is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor test methodologies, test program development, and debugging techniques.
  • Understanding and experience with ISO9001 standard including internal and external audits, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Experience in developing test programs for new products, including device characterization and validation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or C/C++ for test automation and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with RF and mixed-signal testing techniques and equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingal, French and English – this role requires to work regularly with co-workers, subcontractors and customers located globally
  • Willingness and ability to travel to subcontractor facilities or production facilities for onsite testing.
