We are looking for two Test Technicians (Level 1–2) to strengthen our validation execution capacity.

In this role, you will work directly with advanced wireless hardware and embedded systems, helping validate SPARK’s UWB chips used in exciting applications such as:

  • Wireless mice and peripherals
  • Audio devices (headsets, speakers)
  • Proximity detection and ranging systems
  • IoT and short-range connected devices

This is a hands-on lab position where your work directly contributes to the quality, robustness, and reliability of next-generation wireless products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Run established test plans repeatedly on SPARK hardware and silicon to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
  • Set up, use, and maintain validation test benches in collaboration with engineers.
  • Accurately record test data and observations to support analysis and debugging.
  • Detect anomalies, failures, or unexpected behaviors and clearly report them to the engineering team
  • Help improve test efficiency and lab workflows over time.
  • Nice to have (depending on profile):
  1. Assemble or modify test bench prototypes (basic HW hands-on work).
  2. Write or adapt simple scripts (e.g., Python or similar) to automate tests or collect data.
  • other tasks as needed.

Your Qualifications

Education and experience

  • College diploma (DEC) in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field (Targeting Level 1-2 profiles).
  • 0–3 years of experience in a test or validation environment (Junior/Intermediate profile).

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters).
  • Ability to read and follow technical test plans and procedures.

Key Attributes

  • High attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive testing tasks with high rigor and consistency.
  • Adhere to and contribute to the continuous improvement of the verification and validation process.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in French and English: Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues/clients across the country and abroad.
