Job Description

As a Program Manager – Applications at Vention…

You’ll drive the end-to-end technical project management process behind the launch of our ready-to-deploy application products, such as palletizers and other automation solutions. Collaborating closely with hardware, automation, and application engineering teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring new products are released on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality — helping manufacturers automate faster and smarter.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll lead the full lifecycle of new application product launches — from defining specifications to production release.
  • You’ll balance scope, budget, and timelines, proactively identifying trade-offs and escalating key decisions when needed.
  • You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams to remove roadblocks, enabling engineers to focus on technology while you ensure deliverables like testing, certification, documentation, and packaging are ready.
  • You’ll develop and maintain project plans with clear task sequencing, risk mitigation, and staffing needs to optimize project timelines.
  • You’ll lead sprint meetings, monitor progress, and ensure milestones are met with clear communication and accountability.
  • You’ll collaborate with software product managers, product line managers, and operations to ensure a smooth handoff from development to production.
  • You’ll support marketing and documentation deliverables — including datasheets, product pages, and user manuals — to ensure successful product launch and adoption.

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for skills, intellect, and experiences that will help you succeed in this role but we also know that various profiles (not only the one described below) could be successful. You’ll bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management for complex electro-mechanical or automation products.
  • Proven expertise in launching new products from specification through production validation.
  • Strong project management and risk mitigation skills, with a focus on contingency planning and execution.
  • Ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, quality, and operations functions.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of reliability and functional testing, including test plan development.
  • Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
